I needed to be a better actor : Sonam Kapoor

Perhaps Sonam Kapoor wants to be known for being more than just a style diva! The stylish actress who has become very popular in a relatively short span of time, has come a long way since her Bollywood debut Saawariya, in which she was paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor. But, she seems discontent with her performance in her initial films Thank You and Players.
She has just returned from Cannes film festival, where she grabbed too many eyeballs! So busy is this fashionista that she started shooting for her next film with Ayushmann Khurrana, immediately after she returned to India. Speaking about her old film projects, she said, “Even before Thank You, and Players hit the theatres, I realised my life was not going the way I wanted. I was working on big projects, but I wasn’t comfortable. I realised I had not earned my right to be there. I needed to be a better actor. Was I being hard on myself? Maybe, but that’s the truth! “
Apparently, Sonam was very upset with her role and performance in Players and had decided to hang her boots for a while! But papa Anil prevailed upon her and pumped some confidence into sulking Sonam. Talking about it, Sonam Kapoor says, “There was no point no point trying to be something that I was not. I needed to switch off. I needed a break,” She now has a couple of big projects lined up, which might give her the much needed change in perception!
