Sanjay Dutt shifted to Pune’s Yerwada jail

Sanjay Dutt, or Sanju baba as he is popularly known, has been shifted from a jail in Mumbai to Pune’s Yerwada jail in the wee hours of Wednesday. The actor was locked up in Mumbai’s high-security Arthur Road Central jail. Around midnight, the actor was moved in a police van, with escort, to Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail.
Sanjay Dutt is expected to serve his 42-month sentence at this jail in Pune. The actor is believed to have found solace in spirituality and is said to be reading books on it. It has been one week since the actor surrendered himself in Mumbai, marking the start of his 42-month jail term. He was convicted for illegal possession of arms during the Mumbai riots of 1992-93. The reason for shifting him to Pune’s jail is not known yet.

The actor finished work on a few projects before the start of his sentence and so, we would still see him on the screen for a while. But, the actor will remain unavailable for any promotional events of his films. However, we’re sure that he’ll miss his twin babies more than anything else!
